Acty Yokohama Yamashitacho housing
A reconstruction of the UR rental apartments in Yamashitacho, central Yokohama along the high traffic avenue. The corridor of the U-shaped apartments surrounds the light-court. We proposed a concept to enable the residents to seamlessly switch between working and private activities, and to provide a “buffer zone” for adjusting the levels of light and wind on either of the opposing sides facing the streets and the corridor.
